Day 72 – Officially ONE MONTH!

Today is March 20th and I step into the ring on April 20th!

Wowzers. My calculations were off by a week earlier… now it’s panic mode. There is so much to learn in such little time. I’m thankful to have my March/April Break holidays starting next week so I can really focus on my work in the ring.

Not only is it one month until we fight, but that also means that we only have ONE MONTH to fundraise! I think this is where I am most concerned actually. We have a lot going on and I hope that all the hard work that we have put into it all will end up with a really fantastic amount of money to donate to the CSC.

We have our Middle School Talent Show tomorrow night and I have been advertising the raffle to the parent community for 2 weeks… tomorrow I sell. I have had a great response from all the teachers when it comes to the raffle. The hard part, I am finding, is being able to make it around to each class and teacher individually to sell tickets. It takes a lot of time and the window of opportunity to chat with my colleagues is extremely limited with schedules and the fact that we really need to be available for the students. I will also be selling them on Friday morning during our Middle School Staff meeting to the middle school teachers (hopefully it will be easier for me to have a large group available at once there too).

To help promote the sales of tickets tomorrow night, I made a little video to play on a loop at the table I will be sitting at so that parents can see the prizes and also see exactly what I am doing. I hope that it will help everyone to understand what this Crazy Drama Teacher has been up to and why it is so important to donate.

I also plan to promote the upcoming Clothes Swap for Cambodia on April 7th and also the Book Fair on April 8th & 9th. Aynsley and Katelyn have offered to help me out selling the tickets as well which is fantastic! Fingers crossed tomorrow night is a huge success for fundraising!

Some of the other squad members have been doing a great job on selling the tickets as well. The ladies have each sold a book and are working on their second. Paul Summers has been an all-star today by not only selling a full book of tickets, but also getting $600 worth of donations! WOW! I am so impressed! Keep up the good work! And all this after recovering from being ill! Super-duper-star!

Don’t forget – please let me know if you want in on the RAFFLE DRAW action. Just send me a quick message if you want tickets and I will get them to you – I promise! Check out the prizes at
