Day 39: Valentine’s Day with a punch!

Today is Valentine’s Day… A day where young love blossoms and most people aren’t thinking about ways to avoid getting punched in the face. Well, not this gal.

To start off tonight’s Valentine’s Day festivities I enjoyed a class at Vanda. It was a good session and a great mix of people – some which I knew and some which were new to me tonight. I was paired up with an American guy I had never met before but had some great, quick moves. He was really fast at weaving and I wanted to do the same but was too scared that my body wouldn’t be moving fast enough to avoid his punches like he was eluding mine. So I stuck to what I knew to avoid a Valentine’s day shiner.

After the session, I met Kelso at an amazing Italian restaurant called Gaia. It was delicious food and we sat outside in the cool Singapore evening (and no I am not being sarcastic – it really was actually cool outside – borderline “cold” in my books, but my internal thermostat is always on the chilly side). The food was great and it was agreeably our best Valentine’s celebration yet with Tuesday’s personal training for two and our delicious dinner.

I intended to take a photo of the food but after boxing I was hungry enough to eat my own arm… Instead I grabbed a photo of me in my V-day date night dress and every boxing girls favourite handbag. 🙂

Happy Valentine’s Day!!
