Day 26 – A “REY” of light

Tonight I was back in the ring for a personal training session with my long-time coach, Rey. It feels like it has been such a long time since we have trained together because he had been on a much-deserved holiday back home in the Philippines. I did miss working with him but am so happy that he and his lovely wife had a chance to go home and see their family for a long visit. It’s great to have him back and I am ready to work.

Rey is a man with a plan and I intend to follow his orders! The session was good because it was all technique. It’s similar information to what we learn in the white collar sessions, but Rey is darn quick and a one-to-one session caters more to each boxer’s personal needs. All of the coaches at Vanda are excellent and always do their absolute best to help everyone during a class or white collar training session. But Rey and I have also become good friends over my years at the gym, which is the best reason to love the sessions! It was a great session and it felt fantastic to be back working with my corner man again 🙂

Ding ding ding!

As a side note: It’s come to my attention that those who follow this blog or access it via email don’t necessarily see the whole page of my blog. So – I’ll be sending a little reminder here and there to check out the links on the blog and link them to the bottom of my posts to help people access the important information better – like info about the charity, how to donate and what white collar boxing is all about. 🙂
