Day 22 – Keepin’ the FACE

We started another new element to our training last night – getting used to wearing the headgear. This is a new element that we didn’t do during our last training but I think it is a great idea because it is very different having to wear the headgear during a fight. This time, I also decided to purchase my own headgear because putting on someone’s sweaty face protector right after they have been wearing it is DISGUSTING! I can’t believe I never bought my own the last time I did it. sick.

For those of you who are worried about my “mug” getting a beating and whether it hurts or not – don’t worry! I am protected by the Twins. Kelso even tried it out last night and enjoyed punching me in the head a little too much for my own liking. I think it is a great omen to have “Twins” plastered to my forehead considering how many twins run in my family. My grandmother was a twin, Kelso’s brother, Don, and sister-in-law, Lisa have identical twin girls (Phoebe and Freya) as well as my sister, Erin and her husband, Randal have identical twin boys (Atticus and Spencer) and also my cousin has two sets of twins too! I think that this “twins” thing may work in my favour (but I am also secretly fearful that this many twins may lead Kelso and I to have our own reality show when it is our turn “Kelso and Keriann plus 8”?!?!)

But looking at my new headgear – I think it needs something to spice it up. I told Kelso as I was walking out the door this morning that I wanted to decorate it because I thought it was too boring and it looks like everyone else’s.

Ain't nothing getting through this guard!

Kelso’s response?

“of course you do”
