Day 11 – Training and Tunes

I was hoping to get an early session at the gym but couldn’t in the end, so I went in for a session at 6:45. I miss working out with my regulars I used to work out with pre-white collar training. We just pass each other with quick hellos now so I am going to try to get in next week for a session with them.

It was a good session overall and there were a lot of people there! Vanda is growing so quickly with the new location in the CBD! I loved all the exercises – I think next time I would choose some heavier weights because the ones I were using were a little too light (but probably my muscles needed a little break). We ended with the dreaded plank – 3 minutes. I wish I could do them!!! I can’t decide which part of my body hurts worse when I do them. My legs? My stomach? My back and shoulders? Oh that’s right… All of the above!

What I did notice during the session was that Richard had some good tunes playing (and also my current running playlist- “girl talk”). Fun mash ups and a great beat for running and working out.

But I know my love for these tunes will be short-lived as I will soon get sick of hearing it on my iPod… So I need your help! I need great, amazing, working out music. Not really looking for top 40 stuff I would catch on the radio but I am looking for stuff that is indie (pop, rock, electro, funk). I’ll take oldies but goodies too. I really love a bit of hip hop, acid jazz and some old school funk. So – please send your music suggestions my way to help me stay motivated and working hard.

Looking forward to some new suggestions to jab along to!

  1. I love running on the treadmill to Rage Against The Machine-not sure if it will be your thing but you could try it out. Also try some Rival Sons. Next time I am working out I will take note of my favourites and send them your way.

    • Thanks! Yep I have a few fave rage songs on my iTunes so I will have to add them to my playlist this weekend! Thanks! Will check out rival sons too – never heard of them but love new music 🙂 thanks so much!!

  2. Paint it black, covered by Gob. Really hard driving beat.
